The only help I can offer is that one of the door sensors is bad. I've replaced several in my many Fords over the years.
If the lights never time out and turn off then it might be the GEM. I just replaced the one in my panther because the lights wouldn't turn on.
Close all doors and wait for light to time out. Open each door one at a time and see if the light turns back on. If it turns on, that switch is working. Close the door and wait for the light to time out again. If it doesn't turn on, you've found the culprit.
Replaced the regulator today and the window goes up without popping out side the track!
Does seem like the front of the window rides lower going up and down. If I could adjust the front up a little, the back would ride in the track better. I'm pleased that is over with now...
I'm actually working on this right now. Just finished replacing a weak door lock actuator and I'm running the window up and down with the panel off.
It kind of looks like the regulator is bent and not going up straight. I'm still fooling with it...
Seriously? Lubrication? I'll gladly try such a cheap solution. It seems like the window is pointing outward as it moves up.
It's still doing it after all these years of ownership. I've trained the wife to pull in on the window as she rolls it up.
I'm about to replace the door lock solenoid so I...
I've had both problems.
My truck had this random high idle issue. It would idle over 1k and felt like I had to use more brake pedal to hold it. I figured out that it was the IACV by literally whacking it hard with the tip of a huge screwdriver. As soon as I whacked it the RPM would drop...
I saw a lot of solutions to my problem. No bad hoses. Tested fuel pressure and replaced fuel pump. Didn't fix it. Replaced aftermarket IACV and cured. Love forums.
You can test the TPS with a multimeter. 5 volts at WOT I believe.
I took the door panel off once but didn't have much time to really check it out. Had to put it back together.
It almost looked like the rear window track had come lose from spot welds and was pointing the window outwards.
I'm glad I'm not alone here, just hoping someone has a solution.
You can rent those for free from auto parts store.
What I don't know is if a cracked manifold can leak into a runner. I do know those plastic manifolds crack often.
I wouldn't want to do a compression test on these trucks.
Don't know how to title this, but anyone seen this before? My driver window when rolling up leans out of the truck and out of the rubber window weather stripping. Been like this since I purchased, so I can't blame an event. My wife has trouble remembering to manually pull the window inwards...
Dealt with a similar problem recently.
Checked all the common vacuum hose problems.
Replaced IACV and cured. Use only a Motorcraft valve and purchase on Amazon. They're cheap. I've replaced a lot of these on my Fords over the years.
Leaking intake manifold or a broken plastic T in the heater lines? I've had coolant leaks so small they evaporate before dripping and pooling, but you could smell it. Look for staining. The plastic heater connections get brittle and easily broken when changing heater core.
