Spark Plugs, no more BS
The sparkplugs can be replaced, even by a home mechanic like myself. It's been awhile and I only did it once, but I didn't need to remove anything, just loosen the fuel rails and rotate the injectors. Couple recommendations: 1) Buy the best plugs you can because you won't want to do this job...- Hugh Jass

Was there a TSB for head replacement on 1999 5.4l?
While my car was still under factory warranty I took it to the dealer for normal maintenance service. They told me I needed to have the heads replaced and that it would be covered under warranty. It's been so long that I forgot why they did it, I wasn't experiencing any problems with the car...- Hugh Jass

02 expedition cranks but wont start.
I think you have a fuel pressure problem. When I was diagnosing a nostart condition on my '99 5.4, I had fuel pressure without the engine running. I connected the FPG to the schrader valve and cranked the motor. My problem turned out to be a bad crank sensor.- Hugh Jass

ABS light on randomly
Does your OBD scanner read ABS codes, not all do? Anyway, when my ABS light went ON I purchased an Inova 3160 OBD/ABS scanner that pointed me to the rear ABS sensor. New owner of a expedition NEED HELP!!!
I assume your car was running rough after your "tuneup" and the mechanic blamed the #3 COP? After replacing 6 COPS I would suspect something else is causing your problem. 99 EB 5.4, crank/no start - help!
When I had a no-start condition it was my Crank Position Sensor. I followed the diagnostic procedure outlined at this website: Part 1 -How to Test a No Start Condition (Ford 4.6L, 5.4L) I was able to borrow many of the tools at AutoZone. Good Luck!- Hugh Jass
