Checked the fuel shut off switch and it's not the culprit. It starts right up if you spray starter fluid down the intake so it's definitely not getting gas. I will change the fuel filter in the morning but I've never seen a fuel filter completely clog up all of a sudden.
If I change the...
2006 Eddie Bauer with 112,000 miles. Was running errands this morning with the wife and kids, stopped at 7-11 and when we came out it started fine but died after about 5 seconds and now won't restart. It felt and sounded like it ran out of gas. Started a couple of times but never got above a...
Quick update, upon further, further inspection and having my wife drive around me in a parking lot I noticed most (if not all) of the squeaking was coming from the rear.
I sprayed all of the bushing on the rear suspension with libricant and now it's as quiet as a church mouse. :favorites37:
Thanks, what is this "100K maintenance" you speak of? I'm debating between ordering bushings and ball joints or just getting the complete lower control arm and not have to worry about pressing the bushings out. (I replaced the bushings on my Town Car and it was miserable)
But either way I...
2006 Eddie Bauer 2wd with just over 101K miles and the front end is VERY creaky when turning but not when driving straight over bumps. I have looked at the entire suspension and can't find anything wrong. Ball joints, tie rods, bushings...everything appears to be in decent shape.
I don't...
I searched and searched the forum looking for an answer to my question before posting this, so don't hate me too much for beating this dead horse but how much seafoam do I "slowly add" to the brake booster line?
I bought a 16 oz can and put 8oz in the gas (we were just under 1/4 tank) so I...
Thanks guys, already found the code for the keypad, it was right where you said it would be.
Ours is a 2wd so I'm thinking it pretty much has to be the wheel hub. What brand hub did you go with?
I was actually just reading all the posts about seafoam, going through the brake booster...
Just got home with our new 2006 Eddie Bauer, and couldn't be happier. Just like you guys said the TPMS is bad but I'm not too worried about it, I have a pressure gauge.
They didn't give us the code for the keypad but someone told it's printed on the bottom side of the steering wheel...
Thanks everyone for the input. I already found a Lisle plug extractor on Amazon for $56 delivered so that's already getting ordered.
I would preferably get one without airbags but won't turn one down that has them if it's a good deal. I have a 98 town car with 154K miles that's still on...
Newbie Looking for Advice Expeditions
Hello all, new to the forum but plan to be here a lot moving forward. I FINALLY talked my wife into getting rid of her minivan and getting a real 7 seater instead. Luckily for me it was easy to sell her on the idea of an Expedition. I was thinking of going...
