    1999: getting a replacement chipped key to work with only one original key - possible?

    The 8 key limit is a default factory setting. There is actually a setting that removes that limit. This is for identically keyed fleet vehicles so that you don't have to keep strict track of what key belongs to what vehicle. Still have to code them up though.
