These are not the same type of thermostats that they had in 1968. Mine failed at 69k miles.
He also said his trans temp was also elevated, which is another sign of the failed thermostat. And pretty sure the thermostat opens when it gets hot, it doesn’t start out open when cold. It’s gets in a...
Same thing mine was doing. Bought the updated OEM thermostat and swapped it out and she's all good now.

Got the thermostat swapped out this morning. Took a little longer than I expected, got hung up on the bolt on the drivers side. Would have been easier if I would have taken all the intake piping out of the way and the hoses off the thermostat housing, but I didn’t feel like taking all that...
Quick question for those that have swapped it out, how much coolant do I need to get? I guess you just have to drain the radiator? I got the new thermostat and gasket on the way, I’ll just need to stop by the dealership to pick up some coolant.
When I look it up I'm getting part number
HL3Z-8575-B https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-engine-coolant-thermostat-hl3z8575b
Description:
Expedition, Navigator. F150. 3.5L with turbo, from 09/26/2016. 2017-20.
And the gasket is

My 2019 Max Platinum just started running hot but so far it’s only on interstate when going up any kind of grade, doesn’t even have to be all that much. Usually when it gets to the peak it’ll show 235 degrees. I recently had 2 heater hoses replaced that were leaking and it didn’t start doing it...
Just noticed the passenger side led trim drl is significantly dimmer than the drivers side. I’m guessing the only fix for this would be a complete headlight replacement? Also noticed a coolant leak on the passenger side, my ‘15 ended up doing the same thing and it was the heater hose. I can’t...
Back in the day I had a 2015 Expedition EL Limited that treated us well but then it reached 100k miles and the wife wanted something new. Traded it in on a new 2020 Suburban RST w/ the 6.2 It was a pretty truck but I could never really get comfortable driving it...the seat gave me some kind of...
The coolant in these things is a reddish pink...it's orange when it's brand new out of the bottle but when its been in use for a while it turns kinda red.
That's pretty neat. How would you hardwire the other end into the 12v wiring? I don't see anything by them that has open wires for a hard wire solution.
Yeah this may be the last time they see a dime from me. I've bought a couple of Ford's from this dealership in the past and never really had a problem with them. But when I bought the Expedition I could have sworn I told them I didn't want the extended warrantee but when I was going over the...
I'm in Louisiana, we like to call our county's parishes for some reason.
I also had them do some other stuff while it was in there. But just the hose replacement would have been $440. They are a little expensive on the parts and I never would have imagined the labor would have been that high...
So apparently what I saw wasn’t the leak. I brought it in to the dealer and they said it was the heater hose on the back of the engine.

Found the leak and got it on video. Looks like the water pump? You can see it dripping right behind the crank pulley and I believe that’s the water pump above it.

Yup, until that fan goes out.
Never had a single issue with any HID kit I've ever used over the past 14 years going back to the first set I ever installed back in 2005 in my Colorado. I have had lot's of LED interior bulbs, and LED house hold bulbs fail on me tho.
I've been running a cheap (they were $50 bucks I think) no name set of 55w hids from amazon in my Honda accord for 3 years with zero issues. I work shift work, so I'm either going to work in the dark or coming home in the dark, so I run with my headlights on a lot, and they've been perfect for...
Oil looks and smells fine.
The wife said she never noticed any leakage today while she was out. I'm gonna check the overflow tank level when I get home from work. F150 peeps had issues with the tank itself leaking so I'm going to inspect that a little better.
I told my wife to keep an eye on the ground for anything while she's running around today and I'm at work. Won't get another day to see it cold and look at it till the end of next week. I checked over every hose and didn't see a leak from any of them. I'll check again when I get home.
