Hey I'm thinking of buying a 2004 XLT with 5.4 and 4wd with only 148,000 miles no mechanical issues, some rust on rear quarter panel, interior wear and tear normal for a vehicle this old. The dealer selling it for $2000, is this a good deal?
The fusible link was loose and I had to tighten it up and I had to make sure it was on just right or the engine wouldn't start but even after that it still having the same issue.
I have a 2003 Ford Expedition with a weird electrical issue.
I don't know if it's my alternator or not but I'm trying to figure it out that's why I'm here to see if anybody can help me.
I was driving and my battery light came on but the battery wasn't draining it was actually looking like the...
Ok here is the update... It finally is working! So here what happened- not only was the fuse box damaged but the fuel pump was also not working! It seems that one caused the other to fail so both had to be replaced! I have no idea which died first.
I replaced the fuse box first and the relay...
Ok I have the 2003 expedition XLT and I thought my fuel pump went out but after a diagnostic found out my relay burnt out. Now WHY in the heck did Ford make it so that you have to replace the WHOLE dang fuse box and not just replace the one relay?! WHY did they think that soldering the relay to...
Okay jumper firmly in place the engine seems like it wants to start it does turn over like it's getting fuel but I guess I've been starting my engine so much now I think my battery is dying so it doesn't have enough Spark to start. So since this doesn't seem like it's working is that the relay...
Okay I did the jumper from the the two wires the engine did start but then it stopped after about a few seconds so does that mean it's the relay or the fuel pump?
Okay I use starting fluid and it started up and then it cut off I guess once the fuel ran out so I guess that means it is my fuel pump or the relay going to check fuse number 34 now
Okay I'm going to try the starting fluid first into the butterfly valve and see how that goes, so if my engine does start that means it is a fuel pump issue correct? And if it doesn't start that means it's a spark issue then, correct?
Okay I have a centech digital multimeter
That I got for cheap from Harbor Freight which is cool. And also got some blade fuses just to make sure if I did blow one.
Know which fuse number am I looking for?
Thank God the fuel tank is not full it's only at a little less than a quarter about to walk to Harbor Freight now see if they sell fuses well hopefully the voltmeter won't be that expensive don't got that much cash on me
No voltmeter or test light with me
But there is a target right down the street for me so I can probably get one if I need one oh and there's also a Harbor Freight so I might get one from there
This is just an observation or question why in the hell did they put the fuse box where it is? This is the most stupidest place they could ever put a fuse box you have to be a damn contortionist just to look in the mother LOL
Okay update got the fuse box cover off now I need to know which fuse is the one or the ones that is associated with the fuel pump or the fuel relays so I know which fuse to look for I really don't want to take the whole fuse box off to check the relay so please help thank you
Ok found fuse box but can't get panel door off. It's like they made this damn thing child-proof LOL. I pushed the fuel switch in rear and nothing. Where would I hear the fuel Prime at to check for it to see if the fuel pump is working?
I have a 2003 with 4.6, it turns over but doesn't start. I want to check fuses but have no idea where the fuse box is on veh! Please help! I hope it's not my fuel pump, but want to check fuses first. I searched all inside veh and don't see panel for fuses. Any help is appreciated, my veh has...
How loud is the noise of those tires? With tread blocks like that the hum must be loud as heck on the highway. And what's the fuel mileage now as compared to before?
