    Could be an SSV (Special Service Vehicle) instead of an SUV. A little more heavy duty, I believe. Also, look at your speedometer for text that says the speedometer has been verified.

    "If the engine is that bad, how are they clocking 200,000+ miles?" Seems like you answered your own question to me. :D Mine '07 (Expy-SSV) has 190,000 on it and I've only had an O2 sensor error on it. My 2001 Expy (also an SSV, (my first Ford) had 270,000 on it and never had a trouble light!

    Upon disconnecting the battery, don't you have to ground the positive for ten to fifteen minutes to make sure the capacitors in the system discharge? Just askin'.... ?

    Does it try to start? Like for about 2 seconds? If so I'd check air intake all the way to the throttle body. An air leak can ruin your whole day! Found mine where the hose (70mm) connected to the throttle body. Mechanic didn't get the hose on properly and vibration opened it right up! Good...

    Did you ground out your positive lead to dump capacitor-stored power? Takes minutes - not seconds. Ground it out, go have lunch and then come back and try it! :D

    5L3T-AA relays... All the same?

    The 5L3T-AA is on all of the relays I was looking at but some have different numbers underneath. Are those just lot numbers or are there differences in these relays? I want to swap out my fuel pump relay with my backup relay and both are 5L3T-AA but the sub numbers are different. TIA
