Not sure what is used as the switch on a 2010 but my 2017 had that warning. It was the drive selector switch. The switch itself came apart in the back (in the dash). I could pull it out of the dash. It looked like it came unglued from the back plate.
Yeah I only throw it in AWD when it rains hard just to "exercise" the system. I don't miss winter driving at all.
I hope everyone is staying safe. Those ice storms are no joke. Places like Houston Tx getting sub freezing temps without being used to or prepared for it plus losing electricity...
I found this online and wanted to see if folks here have the same experience as I have had which backs this up.
How Reliable Is the 2017 Ford Expedition?
The 2017 Ford Expedition has an almost-perfect predicted reliability rating of 4.5 out of five from J.D. Power.
2017 Ford Expedition...
I haven't checked in for quite awhile. I moved to Florida over a year ago & love it here.
I get a company provided vehicle with my current job and my driving mileage on the EXPY had dropped off.
I'm approaching 70,000 miles on it. I bought it used from a rental or commercial owner...
Wow you’ve had some serious issues & yes that they want to charge you for the fluids is the worst customer service I’ve ever heard of especially when you most likely dropped over $50k on this vehicle.
I bought a Ford backed extended warranty on my 17 but would be getting rid of it had I had...
It may be a bigger issue than this but I changed my behavior after watching this video.

What I find amusing about the V-8 vs smaller forced air induction motor argument is folks forget about the weight of the motor and efficiency.
Of course gearing and transmissions come into play. As well as the turbo motor requires more automation & higher end components to work well with...
Glad to hear that. Congratulations! Any major issues or did anything special to get that many miles on it. Why are you worried you can't get another 100k out of it?
Great looking rhodesian ridgebacks. My neighbor has a 1 year old male. It was amusing seeing him grow. He is now larger than my 2 greyhounds. He is just past that awkward uncoordinated stage.
I'm going to have to consider a step up later with mine. The male is approaching 8 the female is...
Back on topic. The answer is yes. Also all new tech is not just for fuel savings.
I rented an Infiniti Q50 3.0T (twin turbo v-6)awd this weekend. This tiny sports car was only averaging 23mpg to my 2017 Expeditions 19. Ford for all it's faults has done a remarkable job with that.
That's ok Harley Davidson and the Rolling Stones have teamed up for some odd reason too. I like the rolling stones and own a Harley but I'm not interested in advertising for both or either.

I believe this happened but the article also listed others that didn't have your experience. From the article:

In 2005, when Ford launched the Escape Hybrid, the automaker was not known for electric powertrains...
There is definitely something wrong. The 19s have an updated motor and 10 speed automatic. I'm averaging over 19mpg stock now on 87 octane with 75% highway/25% city driving with the old 6 speed automatic.
Here is a thread of the gen 3 mileage...
Well I had my brakes done at Monroe Muffler for $100 less, done in less than an hour. Lifetime ceramic pads which Ford didn't even offer. New rotors too. I asked about machining and they said the time resurfacing it would offset the cost of new that could be installed quickly. They actually...
Not mentioned are manufacturing improvements. Do you want a robot or disgruntled union worker building your vehicle?
How about machining, materials, oil and fuel advancements? No more 3k oil changes required!!! Spark plugs last 100,000 miles.
Safety and convenience advancements. I was...
I love these technology fear discussions.
The Amish think we went down hill two hundred years ago. Nothing more reliable or simpler than an Amish lifestyle.
Posting for an Amish friend.
Vehicles all last longer now than ever. Remember the cars from the 70s & 80s with odometers that only had 5 digits? 100,000 miles was zero again. Cars that went 100,000 miles back then were rare. Now folks drive them 200,000 and more.
Although I agree there are many manufacturers that are...
