Yeah, you have to hit the park assist button every time you back up. We have a rack on ours pretty much 12 months of the year, I would love a way to turn it off and stay off until I want to have it on.
The lock and unlock should work, it did with my 2019 xlt. I didn't have remote start and that did not work from the app. I think I remember hearing that you could turn on remote start with forscan but that wasn't anything I ever looking into to see if it was true.
I am not a forscan expert...
I am looking to pick up a 2001 expedition with 117k miles. Looks pretty good and seems to run well. The owners didn't use it a lot, mostly to pull their camper in the summer months. I'm pretty sure it hasn't had any of the normal major maintenance done since nobody seems to do that. I plan to do...
Check with one of the online ford warranty dealers, I think when I priced mine out it was flood ford that had the best deal. You could get a quote from them and then ask the dealer to match it. Some might, some won't.
Are the running boards trying to move and just faulting out and reverting to open, or are they not even trying to move? When mine get all gunked up they will start to move and move part way then reverse but if these aren't budging at all then the problem is bigger than just dirty and either the...
I'm no engine mechanic but I have never heard of anyone just replacing the rings and problems being solved. If the engine is so bad the rings are bad, I would think you need more than just new rings. As cheap kids we would try to re-ring our dirt bikes to get a little more life out of them...
Not totally on topic but I was a little bugged about the $5 dollar change to putting it on pause BUT now I have realized it is awesome. I use it way more than I used to and I am not needing to unpause it as much as I used to. I really only unpause it 3-4 months of the year but can use it 12...
There is so much that goes into this but at the end of the day the more time you spend in boost the more gas it drinks. Things that really keep it in the boost are the speed, wind, and frontal of the trailer. Newer trailers are wider and taller. I bought a newer trailer a few years ago that was...
What does this mean? Are they supposed to leak at a certain age?
Also, not the valve covers here, no visible oil above the bottom of the heads. Valve covers are at the top of the heads and much higher than any visible oil. Seems to not be leaving drops on the ground now, so it has either...
Mine is a 2020 Platinum Max but I also had a 2019 XLT Max, both with the max tow. I know there are some minor differences between the ones I had and the 22-24 but most of my experiences would carry over. I also tow a trailer that tops out at about 7000#
The XLT did NOT have CCD and I upgraded...
Its a 2013, my guess is the brakes are bad and probably need to be replaced. I have doubts they would "sabotage" it. I know my wife doesn't tell me the car is making a noise until its way overdue, like metal on metal grinding and then she is like "hey the car has been making a noise" (for like 3...
No engine work on this one. Also, I am not seeing any evidence of oil above the bottom of the heads. I am pretty certain the oil is coming from somewhere below the level of the bottom of the head on the passenger side. Gotta keep looking but its hard to see great along that side.
I was changing the oil this weekend and I am getting oil leaking from someplace up above but I can't tell where, this is a fairly sizeable leak too but its almost like the entire passenger side of the engine from the heads down has oil residue. There is a lot over on that side of the engine and...
Not for any other reason than easy ordering on amazon, I went with powerstop pads. I want to say there are the powerstop evolution pads. I just did the fronts and used the z23 carbon fiber ceramic pads. I have not noticed any dust or noise from either of them.
I use ebc green stuff pads on my...
Traction control, trailer anit-sway, abs, lane control, some of the specialty drive modes, descent control, anti-roll back, etc all uses automatic application of the rear brakes which does contribute to rear pads wearing faster than us old timers are used to. I noticed this first in my 2007 jeep...
In my quick search the 2023 timberline appears to not have IWEs but I did not find anything giving details on the actual 4wd system that is used in it. So, based on that I would assume it is live all the time. I still don't think a bang and slip is normal or should be happening but does that...
Yes, and honestly I probably could have gone a hair longer. The pads were worn down just to where the gap in the middle was, which I kind of feel like is the most I like to go.
Mind you, the back pads were done long ago.
I never hear the squeal as soon as my wife. She will tell me it's making noise and then I drive it and nothing.
All I know is the rears on these usually do not last 50k, it's very common for them to be done between 35-50k. New ones will last much longer though.
