Advice on things after exhaust manifolds

Exactly, and thank you! The temperature fluctuations seem to have stopped, all appears to be normal there. I believe you were correct on air in the system. And the fluid leaks looked to be tied to their work, which I had them correct after much debate. Coolant was a line they replaced which...

Advice on things after exhaust manifolds

Well I had a pretty poor shop experience and I'm now questioning the quality of work. Hopefully someone can clarify if a few things we're seeing are or are not common for the work done. In short, I had a shop replace both exhaust manifolds along with all of the suggested items: coolant lines...

    Console shifter hole/gap cover thingie.

I know this is an old thread, but I too want to replace this however I do not see a link to the video. Am I missing something? Anyone happen to have the link to the video mentioned?

    Cracked trim around gear selector?

Anyone figure this out? I too would like to replace this part on my 2016 but it does not look obvious as to how.

    Permanent disable front parking aid

Yes. See my post about the pads I installed over the top of the sensors. They have worked for over a year now.

My apologies for the wrong assumption then. No hard feelings.

Power Running boards. I did a thing

Yes, really. "I did a thing" does not describe: that the fitting wasn't there already for some who can't look at their own right away; if it was best to remove the motor or not; if so, the process to remove; how deep to drill, maybe there is a motor directly inside the housing; what grease was...

Power Running boards. I did a thing

Care to describe what you did? The pictures don't really give detail.

    Rear Wiper Arm

I did a similar process: actually broke the plastic arm of the old wiper so it was out of the way, and then grabbed the base of the old arm with pliers and pulled it straight out.

CCD Replacement Costs? (Continuously Controlled Damping)

I agree with this. Having a '17 with CCD, I'm pretty sure the entire system is just electric controlled shocks; sensors w/links to the shocks, then a controller tied into systems. If I get to the point of needing replacements, I would think I can find the shocks and swap them like any other...

    Need your $0.02...

I agree with most points above, I would go with both the motor and tranny. I've only down this level of work on Jeeps, so can't tell you if swapping them together is a done more work, but I would think since they have already been married it will help ensure they both up smoothly. Besides, if...

    Retro fit SYNC Connect?

Found this thread over on f150 forum... Anyone attempt this in a gen3? I'm quite interested but this 2000+ thread is way too long to review for details. Overall it appears possible for those of us with SYNC3 https://www.f150forum.com/f118/sync-connect-retrofit-any-ford-452708/

    Dashboard Dimmer Problem

Thanks. I mine was operator error. I did not realize there was a 'soft touch' for the dimming and then a hard touch to turn the overhead lights on. So far, mine is working as I think it should now.

    Parking Sensors

I found a solution, or at least one that has worked for me. I found these: https://www.amazon.com/Ranch-Hand-USCBP-Sensor-Cover/dp/B01N543CIO They work. Since I put them on, the front sensors have not gone off and these is no warning signal. Not sure what exactly they do, but it is a great...

    Guidance on wheel offset

We have a '16 with the 22" wheels, going down to the stock 18" tire size. However, I want the tires to stay inside the wheel well - I prefer that look and keeping tire spray inside the well. Any idea how much I can reduce the offset when going from a 285 tire to 275 without having the tires...

After 6 months with my F150 Bilstein 5100s at 2” lift, UCAs are a MUST!

Might I suggest a 100-series... Equally as stout, similar build options, and the JDE v8. Oh the toys to have... (Sorry to hear this setup doesn't work!)
