MPG post for you smart people
Okey so you have this v-6 and you have a 4 and the 6 gets better milage for not working as hard,, But what if the 4 had oh say 3:31 rear end gears and the 6 had 4:10 gears,,then the 4 gets better gas milage,,oh my gawd can that be right??? there is more to theese milage claims then just...- Texaskid05

MPG post for you smart people
Once again XP thats a load of bull, I get 20-21 HWY with my little 4.6. The engine does not strain to pull the 3 ton truck (Who thinks up this garbage) Of course my friend also has the 4.6 in his f150 and gets alot worse milage then me but he pulls a 26 ft fith wheel and has the 3:73 rear end...- Texaskid05

Can't see why you would say that. I logged 21 mpg on my last trip to Dallas at 75 mph But then I have the 4.6 with 3:31 rear end. But 23mpg would have been easy at say 65mph. Maybe its all those Mods that eat the rest of Yalls gas,,,rofl- Texaskid05

From 16 to 12 to 14.5
Bull pucky. I drove 535 miles from my town to Dallas a few weeks ago and got 19mpg on one tank and 21mpg on the other, I have over 70k miles on the beast,and no reason to fudge the numbers. I'm not sure if people on here are jealous,,or just getting bad milage, But every truck is diffrent...- Texaskid05

Rough start when wet
Posted on another thread but,, My 2001 has 70k miles on it and did it after washing. Dealership fixed it for free out of warranty. It was a faulty coil (so they said) Spark plugs were rusty they replaced all plugs and boots and one coil. But from reading on this board it is common,,the plug...- Texaskid05

factory alarm
Not true at all. One push of the lock button produces a chirp (pause) chirp. Two push's just produce more chirps. Disarm or the unlock button also produces a chirp. And it is very annoying. Anyone know how to make the chirps go away (without disconnecting the siren or the horn) Please...- Texaskid05

Have you tried a diffrent dealership, maybe in a diffrent state. Mine was over 70k miles and wayyyyyyy out of waranty when the work was done, They never even asked me to pay for it. Just handed me the keys and said your all done.- Texaskid05

Sounds familiar 2001 XLT 4.6 70,000 miles Went to the car wash, and the next day got the shaking shuddering. Took it to the dealership and they replaced all 8 plugs, all 8 boots and one coil pack. 4 plug was rusted solid. They did not charge for any of it. Common on who's expedition? First I have ever heard of that. And I would never buy a truck that this was a common problem on. At least they are footing the bill for you. My dealership covered the cost of my problem for me as well even though it was out of warrenty.- Texaskid05

Rough Idle 2003 5.4 - Anybody else?
Not Sure But worth looking at This may not be correct. But in the f-150'2 ( I had a 99 and a 2000) There was an electrical line that ran next to the AC acumalator(sp) that used to short after it warmed up.
