    If the LEO agency uses laser correctly, it is useless. Just let’s you know a ticket is coming. However, not all LEO use laser and radar detectors are legal in all states except VA and DC areas. I use the alarm to be cognitive of the speed. thanks for sharing 7.62

    Found the running board gear stripped, back to the drawing board. Used running board assembly with working motor is $250 at junk yard. Will add mudflaps to reduce road grime getting into motor behind steer tires. Would prefer to replace shaft and gear as new for longevity.

    Great idea drilling drain hole in board. Always noticed some water on the driveway as vehicle sat on incline. Had no idea the board could hold that much water. Mission today is to drill holes in both boards and lubricate again. Thanks Bill!

    Replaced the motor, cleaned and lubricated moving parts..it’s as if the idler assembly or board may be slightly bent or sagging enough that the motor safety feature takes over then won’t allow the motor to completely retract board. Noticed a symptom when board goes down when door is opened...
