Something like this is likely. I still have powertrain warranty but if they have to start digging into sensors and what not I may have to pay. There should be documentation going back to to when the vehicle was less than 2 yrs old though with the same issues being reported. This complaint is...
Around 45k miles now. Have had these issues going back to 20k, probably earlier but it doesn't happen all of the time, and oddly 95%+ of the time it is driving from Houston to Austin. Sometimes it will happen driving around town but once it is shut off and sits while we're doing whatever we're...
Had the same work done on our 2019 last year. It seems to have been good. The day after picking it up though a check engine light came on then we were without it for 2 months waiting on a catalytic converter. I'm not sure if they damage it when working on the transmission or not but was weird...
Has anyone had any luck figuring this issue out or had repairs that solved the problem?
We have experienced this with out 2019 Expedition. Last year the transmission was determined to be the problem and it was pretty much rebuilt and the issue seemed to have gone away for a while, probably 15k...
Our 2019 FX4 has always downshifted on the slightest hill or incline but ours does have a leveling kit and a larger heavier tire than factory. When driving through the Texas hill country with 55 to 60 mph zones I lock it in a gear that holds 2k to 2200 rpms because it bugs me. However, we just...
Hopefully plugs solve your problem. Ours only has 32,000 miles on it, 1,000 miles since the transmission rebuild. The day after picking it up from the transmission rebuild the catalytic converter went out so we had to wait 5 weeks since they were on back order. The dealer finally found one at...
@lefty hack On our 2019 sluggish acceleration led to a replaced valve body and then 1,000 miles later a rebuilt transmission, all under warranty. I'm hoping the rebuild holds up and we are trouble free moving forward.
I see, you're at least still driving yours. We left ours at the dealer so we have been without since July 14th. According the Ford Pass app ours has been moving around today so maybe they are working on some things. The service advisor had been looking at other parts departments and attempting...
@chuck s did you ever get your back ordered cats, if so how long did it take? I've been waiting for cats for a month now with no estimated time of availability. I have a 2019 so maybe they're different part number but I was just wandering how long it took for you.
It's all warranty. 2019, was 3 yrs old at the beginning of July, and 31k miles. I've thought about swaying the wife into trading for a new Expo Max while we have been waiting on a back ordered cat but I'd like to get it back and see if all is well and maybe there were some coincidences in things...
We started having poor acceleration that was diagnosed as transmission issues soon after the phasers were replaced. The first attempt at a fix was to replace the valve body and within a week the alternator died. 2 days after picking it up a CEL came on for an issue with the evap system, so it...
I know this is the "who hasn't had major issues" thread but I figured I'd add my problems for forum records.
The first 20k-25k miles were just fine, other than all 4 shocks replace due to being blown or leaking, that was around 8k miles.
Our 2019 Expedition Max is now at just over 31k miles...
I have a 2019 FX4 Max with the Ready Lift 1.5 leveling kit and stock rear. The rear sets lower than I would like, and when loaded this is worse. It actually sits pretty level, but the fender gap between the front and rear makes it look like the rear is lower.
I have read through this thread a...
