    Yes very obvious, just follow the lead and you will see it. I zip tied a plastic bag neatly over the connection. When I sell I may re connect it some day

    The lower cover is not removable. There is a small center cover that will hide your hitch that’s all. looks like you probably could pull the lower plastic cover out a little and get the clips realigned and should be back to normal

    The diameter of your needs to match the diameter of your tire/wheel combo your putting on. If you get a flat and you out the spare on and it doesn’t match the others , the AWD will think it’s slipping and could really cause problems. I did it with an Explorer and a mile down the road it locked...
