I have the HD tow package and my sway bar is the same part number as the same year vehicle without the HD package. I couldn't find a separate part on the Ford site to indicate there was an alternative.
Yes, I'm sure I shopped around. I have 4 quotes in hand - 2 from my insurance companies' recommended shops. All are $500+ installed.
Glad to hear your market area is so much less expensive though.

After our big Texas ice storm, my windshield cracked in multiple places and is in need of replacement. I have multiple quotes in the $500 range, but before I pull the trigger I figured wanted to sell out anyone here who has replaced one themselves. I guess the answer doesn't need to be...
Are you seeking responses from people who have installed these and have personal experience with the specific product?
My guess is that this part is indeed an improvement on the factory part. Hellwig's part description states "Hellwig sway bars feature larger than stock diameters and precision...
I'm never an advocate for removing airbags. And yes, if you remove it you will definitely have an airbag light stuck on. Also, if you ever are in an accident where airbags need to deploy your insurance will mean squat. ALSO, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to tamper with any factory airbag system...
Amazon will likely be your best resource.
Here's a pretty good system which includes the net: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078H9FMKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_9Z2KYZ4V4MNNRKF1KAKN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It shouldn't rattle at idle... if it is, then the spring is bad. If you pull it and it rattles when you shake it then you have a bad part. I bought mine at a local Ford shop for $16. Might be worth exploring that before replacing the purge valve.

Have you checked the PCV? Can you hear it rattling at idle? Is it clean? My bad PCV caused both of your codes to show on my '15.

In my experience with these engines, one bad sensor could throw multiple codes for anything downstream. In the case of the ecoboost specifically, it could throw codes for upstream sensors as well since it's a closed system. Is there any way to verify a bad purge valve? Any way to test the...
After you disconnect the vacuum line, just twist and pull straight out. It's the one on the passenger side.
I knew mine was bad because it didn't stay closed during idle - the bearing would just bounce which sounded like shaking a spray can.

21,000?? How did you manage to find that gem!? I can see myself trying to get the dealer involved with that kind of mileage. Too bad they wouldn't work with you.

Good deal, thanks for clarifying. I've been assuming you have the ecoboost - which one? Also, how many miles?
Good info for those encountering your issue in the future.
Do post back when you get the part in and have results.

To be clear for future readers - was the culprit the PCV solenoid? If so, which part number did you have and which one did you replace it with? If I remember correctly they are up to the third iteration of this part for your year with the original part being black and the most recent versions...
Check your intake temp sensor? I would start there. You can get the correct numbers off the internet but check the reference wire to make sure it's fluctuating. What does the oil temp read on the panel?
Check my earlier posts for more details on a similar issue I had. Would love to track your...
Yes, it could cause codes that are both intake and exhaust related. Which engine do you have? The tolerances on the ecoboost are pretty touchy, so variances in the intake/exhaust paramiters typically trigger codes downstream of the root cause (in my experience).
They do get hot though, so if you go under the seat try to keep it off the carpet or take necessary precautions for heat. In one of my F150s the factory inverter was located under the passenger seat and they had it insulated and fire wrapped.
I'm guessing it's not the factory alarm system. I've never come across anything where someone had an issue with the horn sounding on the first lock signal.
If you can't find anything to indicate the alarm system was changed, you could use Forscan to turn of the horn signal altogether when you...
