Interesting! I never would have guessed that! But it does look like gnaw marks now that you mention it. I haven’t seen any shavings, though. I’ll check for gnaw marks elsewhere. Thanks!
I’m thinking that it broke at that point when the previous owner was trying to install it remove it. I can’t see how it would break any other way. I wonder what led him to try that. I think I will tape it, plug in my OBDII Scanner and see if any codes show up. Maybe there is an associated...
Instead of buying a whole new vapor canister purge valve for $57, I think I may try removing the end piece which is broken and repair it with JB weld. I put tape on it, but want something more permanent. Thanks.
Can anyone identify this broken connector under the hood of my 2010 Expedition? Does it have a name or part number? I can’t locate one in my manual. Photo taken from the passenger side of the engine, closer to the firewall. Thanks.
