@NevadaGeo I agree. I disliked them very much in the beginning but now it's just a meh. After running 18s in the winter for 2 years I think my issue isn't with the Grabbers but rather the wheel size. A bit of sidewall goes a long way to improve ride comfort.
I've done 3M PPF and Opti-Coat ceramic on my last 2 cars. I have a 10yr warranty on the Opti-Coat with no obligations for special care. I even get a discount on cleaning from my detailer and free reapplication when I get small scratches buffed out. Super happy with the products.
Posting today...
Finally took mine into the dealership, they fiddled with the sun roof and ended up putting grease (Krytox I think). It fixed the popping noises out not the rattling. Today I found that the plastic trim that spans the seal between the sun roof and the rear fixed pane is the main culprit. Going to...
I'm still an old guy in the making so I'm not going to hate on a form factor so long as I get positive engagement. Seeing as a dial can't do that, GM/Lincoln flubbed buttons, the Germans create useless fake console shifters, I guess it's column shifters for me.
I thought it was a pointless feature until my first road trip with the kids. I've since decided it's meant to allow parents to turn completely around to yell at the kids. Completely letting go of the steering wheel while making eye contact with the kids adds a new dimension of horror that makes...
I've had success with plasti dip on chrome plastics that aren't being touched all the time. I'm hesitating on the center console since it's prone to tearing. Was also thinking a vinyl would be a good alternative.
@roybus14 where did you see "5min to retract after door closes"?
I didn't see that in the manual and the dealer told me the extended timer setting applies to when unlocking before opening doors. I thought that was odd but couldn't dispute. plus it seems correct, my boards stay out quite a long...
Not sure about the NHTSA but I can say that Transport Canada would do an investigation before contacting the manufacturer. Maybe Ford is being proactive and monitoring complaints
Definitely fight for a rental if you have it in the warranty. I'm paraphrasing but my ford warranty says I get a...
I don't want much, just a place to put my keys and wallet and not give up the cupholders. The slot on the F150 is perfect for that. Seems like they could have made the door over the cupholders bigger to give us a small storage slot.
I did this on a few other cars, figured I'd give it a try on the Expy. Wedged some PVC welt cord between the trim. Just a bit of colour, I think it works.
I've got a 6600lb loaded TT and it pulls just fine. I've pulled heavier loads on flat beds (we don't need to say how heavy they were) and I couldn't tell the weight was there. Biggest factor is the wind resistant and lateral stability of the load. If you're not getting a taller/wider TT you...
Does anyone know if you can recover trailer data after the update. I've lost all my trailers and the records of miles driven. Really sucks I normally review everything this time of year to plan maintenance in the fall.
I went from a '20 Explorer to the Expedition. I have 4 kids in car seats. It was an expensive lesson, never sacrifice room behind the third row unless you plan to leave it down most of the time. The Expy Max has a better turning radius than my wife's jeep Cherokee.
Feel around just past the seam under the bumper and locate the tabs from the cover that slot into the bumper. Keep tension on the cover by pulling on the slot and release each tab one at a time by pressing up on them. You don't need much force at all and definitely no tools.
