Help settle an argument... Have I lost my marbles?
I've been a way for a week and when I got home I didn't recognize the various chimes (open door, proximity sensor). I sware they changed and now sound like older Ford's like my dad's 2014 Taurus.

They change if the battery has low voltage at startup.

Sometimes it seems as though they're coming from a different source, as in somewhere in the dash rather than over the stereo. I've noticed it change before.

Charge the battery and all will be good tomorrow.

Interesting I did get a message to charge the battery by taking it on a drive. Planning to put it on the battery tender tonight.

Edit battery was very low, my Norco charger considers it dead. How long are batteries lasting for others?

If you get 5 years out of a battery, you are doing good, especially in an extremely cold or hot climate. Once they get past 5 years old, I replace them. If your battery charger says it's bad, probably time.

2020 factory battery died over Christmas.

If you're in Canada, the best deal you can get is the Costco Energizer H7 AGM battery. Costs around $300 if you pick it up in store. And Costco has a 10 year warranty on it. The first 5 years are full replacement, the last 5 years are pro-rated. It's basically free batteries for life.

And unlike other stores (Walmart, CanadianTire etc) Costco will take anything back no questions asked.

@Fizzy thanks, I'll throw the meter on it tonight but I think I'll be going to Costco soon. Charged the battery overnight and after my commute to work it went back into battery saver mode.

Once the BMS turns off auto start stop, the battery needs charging. the battery on my old F150 lasted 6 years. It started out no auto start stop, then the funky chimes, my fuel mileage went to hell because the alternator charging full bore all the time, some other weird electrical gremlins etc. After replacing the battery all returned to normal, including the fuel mileage.
Either your batt is not good or there is a battery drain of some sort.

Mine changes from the stereo speakers to the dash piezo speaker from time to time as well. I watch my battery State of Charge and voltage religiously and I have yet to determine a particular pattern to it. It happened a lot more often when I had a bad battery but even replacing it and keeping things charged hasn't stopped it from intermittently doing that. Seems like maybe it does it more often if I haven't driven for a few days. I really wish these car computers had a /var/log/syslog I could look at to see what it thinks it's doing.

The system may benefit from a BMS reset if the battery data is off. Fully charge the battery to 100%, and then reset the BMS. Ignition on/engine off.......flash high beams 5 times and tap brake pedal 3 times. If done correctly, you will see the battery icon in your dash flash a few times. After a full charge and BMS reset, if the battery is still giving issues, then a replacement if definitely warranted.
