    Multiple Systems "Not Available"

Also could be a bad wheel speed sensor, broken cable, water in connector. Also bad ABS module or a com error with the ABS module, so other modules can’t talk to it. 4 wheel speed sensors at the same time? Nah. But I did see 2 failing at the same time… But on yours I’d go after the ABS module...

    What transmission do you reccomend?

We had an 18 and a 19 with the early 10 speed transmission. Both never had a problem. We drove hard, but no trailers. Just do your regular 60k oil and filter change in the tranny and keep going. Not worth spending extra $, specially not if you aren’t driving trailer. Anyway… if you got a 108k...

Need Advice / Help - Random Bolt found in Transmission Tray when doing fluid / filter change - 2024 Expy Timberline

Hm. As long as there is no damage, who cares. If there is transmission damage, let warranty take care of it. I am actually more surprised the screw didn’t end up jammed in the filter! So is it a bummer, sure… but not something to really huff ‘n puff about… 30k is a bit early for a tranny fluid...

*RECALL* 26E04 Emissions Powertrain control module software update

Not sure why that is, but I've noticed this before on other recalls. While we Canadians to get OTA updates, we seem not to get emissions related updates Over The Air. We need to go to the dealer and get the flash manually done. I've only gotten "easy" like infotainment updates OTA, but for any...

High capacity battery? Will BMS simply ignore it?

That’s what I did. Went to Ford and ordered that battery blanket for like CAD $30. It was cheap enough. I didn’t mess around with SOC yet. Didn’t see a need for it. My 24 SPP is way different in keeping the battery charged than my old 18 F-150 with the 3L Diesel. However I do charge my...

    Desulfating AGM battery

Whatever you do with Desulfating Battery… UNHOOK the battery totally from the car before you desulfate. What the NOCO does is it puts more voltage like 16V- 16.5V out and slightly pulses the battery for a specific time. This feature is great and used it a few times. Here is my prediction. You...

Thoughts on fixing this myself? Hit a deer

That aluminum panel, I don’t think so. It doesn’t behave like regular car metal. But if you fix all the plastic parts there are paint less repair guys that will bend the aluminum back to factory. If you got insurance, you file a claim that a deer ran into you. That shouldn’t affect your...

Got code p0430... Question about aftermarket cats

Not on the Expy but on other cars. Burnt up the high flow cats from cooks (literally melted the inside) and ended up using Mercedes high flow cats from their supercar. Works perfect and no more melted cats. Fair to say the car is modified.

    Rough idle and slight hesitation

Run some Berryman B12 through the vacuum lines and put some inside the tank too. But a Gen2 engine shouldn’t do this. Unless these are really short trips. Mine does short trips too. 7miles twice a day using regular gas and got no problems!? However every 3 months or so I do a 450 mi trip with it.

    Rough idle and slight hesitation

Can’t be, you got 12 fuel injectors. 6 are direct injection and the other 6 are regular fuel injection. Crappy gas or really short trips.

High capacity battery? Will BMS simply ignore it?

If you want the battery blanket on the H8, then you need to order one. They are cheap. Other than that, no mods, it just drops right in. No fiddling around or rerouting cables, direct fit into the battery tray.

    Water damage short help!

how do you spill 10 gallons of drinking water? That is a lot of weight too! I wonder if there is water inside some modules, connectors etc. I would suggest to search if these error condes have something in common like a certain module, or a plug, fuse etc.

High capacity battery? Will BMS simply ignore it?

Nothing to worry about changing in between Group H6, H7 and H8 batteries on a Ford as long as you stay with AGM. Some older ECUs have to be adjusted, the newer ones do not! My old F150 3L BabyStroke had an H8 fitted from factory.

High capacity battery? Will BMS simply ignore it?

First thing I did to my SPP when I got it. TUrfed the H6 battery and put in an H8. I did nothing programming wise or BMS reset like it was with the 2018 models to my 24 SPP. Just swap ‘er out and good is. Just make sure the battery is fully charged before you swap them. That’s it. I think I...

    Liftgate Problem

the broken wire could be more in the lift gate than in the body. Usually there is a fastener on each side and to 99% the broken wire is there somewhere. Unless someone did repairs to that hatch due to a collision or something and drilled or cut something (nicked a cable). What you can do first...

    Liftgate Problem

Pull on the boot, so it exposes the wires. Or take part of the ceiling down. A lot of things can pass voltage, even your fingers… but current is a different story. In this case you need real current draw, not a little test light.

    Liftgate Problem

Wrong tools. Make yourself a proper load. Take a rear tail light socked (tail light and brake) and get a 2 filament bulb with it. Solder some alligator leads or similar to that. I got mine from a junk yard. Now you have a proper load. You can use only one filament or both at the same time to...

    So sad no controller

So what? If these cars had a brake controller, how hard can it be to retrofit it? I am just talking about the controller, not the back up pro crap that I have to use yet!?

    So sad no controller

Umm… I just looked. Here in Canada the trailer brake controller is CAD $438 and the dealer programs it. Nuttn special about it. Some dealer even advertise it. It will not have the trailer backup pro crap, but just a factory brake controller with gain and a slider. I think you need a different...

    So sad no controller

Correct. My trailer brake controller sits in that location. However, it comes combined with something called backup pro trailer asssist. That is another knob that sits above the brake controller. At least it is like that on my SPP with Sync4A (the big vertical display). Plus the HD trailer tow...
