Liftgate / Hatch Elec Button Inoperable (non-power)
I'm still in the fact-finding phase here. I have a 2008 XLT that has a button for the liftgate / hatch, but not a "power liftgate." The button for the liftgate / hatch glass works perfectly. Is this the correct key fob?
2008 Previous owner lost remotes. I bought this remote off eBay. I don’t see a Ford or any markings on the back, so aftermarket knockoff I guess. It programmed no trouble. Locks,Unlocks,Rear Glass Release, Panic all work, but Lift Gate ignores the remote. Today the dash button...- Kevin08

Life gate automatically opened, car lights flashing
This morning at 12:44am CST, our 2018 XLT rear lift gate opened all by itself, hit the garage door and remained opened all night.
