I have an '01 Expedition w/ stock stereo. I cannot get the REAR subwoofer/speaker to work. Think the kids may have hit a button or something, and I can't figure out how to get it working. Any ideas???

If it has the rear seat controls, then it is capable of "dual media play" This allows the rear seat occupants to listen to something different than the front. I.E if you have the radio on, then they can listen to a tape.

To turn it off, there is a button on the rear controls to do this. I believe its the mode button. Also, you can turn it off with the radio by pressing the 3 and 5 preset buttons at the same time.

I had the same problem... I had a bad woofer. Dealer told me I needed to replace the whole set (amp/woofer) and it was going to cost like $300-400 ++++. You might want to test the woofer to see if either the speaker or the amp might be bad. If the speaker is bad just buy a new one at your local audio store 8" sub (screw holes probably won't match but you can drill new ones) (( woofer only cost me $75 )). To test it you need to take out all of the plastic molding on the passenger rear side (pain) but will possibly save you lots of $$$$$ I would think if the amp is bad you could replace that to. I did see a whole setup on ebay but they wanted $250... GOOD LUCK>>
