Does the truck have trouble when accelerating? The code deals with cats being less than threshold. Maybe they're plugged.

The coldest the vent position will blow is the temp of the outside air (since it is just outside air). Now, if you have the AC button on with vent, it'll cool the incoming air. For best efficiency, though, do Max AC. Since it recirculates the air, it keeps it extra cool, as well as saving you some gas.

Not sure on the bubbling sound unless it's coming from the intake? Do you have an aftermarket intake on there?

No prob accelerating no aftermarket intake, but the hose from top back of intake to that piece on driver side firewall with the green clip looked burnt and very brittle and i replaced i thought that might be the prob but it didnt fix i thought it was leaking because i was listening and when i sqeezed it it stopped making a leaking noise but it is just a strong vacuum because still does with new but dont understand why it looked so burnt no reason i see for that is that hose supposed to have a real strong vac.

On my air it is cool here right now and was just going to get some cool fresh air without running ac but it is warm air coming thru when turned to cool do all expeditions do that or is there aa problem my ac when on max works great.

Any info on the probs greatly appreciated thanks.

It'll probably be a few degrees warmer than outside since I'm guessing it gets warmed up a bit from the engine and what not. I normally just roll with my windows cracked open, unless I'm at highway speed.

I know mine has a burping/gurgling sounds. I'm thinking my IAC might be crapping out. Does your idle fine, or does it sometimes dip slightly below the normal idle.

mine was the same way when i bought it, the damn dealer kept reseting the cel! the whole beat on the cat thing is garbage because i had that problem back in 08, mine is an 05 with 80k (back then) i replaced the right side cat, it was completly blocked, no way to tell it was good or bad, i started cheap changed out the 02 sensors then just went for the cat. also about that vacum there are several vacum lines im not sure on the 03 theres a different intake setup than the 05, im not sure why it would be burned up unless it was dangling around by the engine itself possibly?

i went with aftermarket it was a generic obd2 cat just under $150 installed still works like a champ, i swapped my muffller for a flowmaster 40 with 2 chrome tips comming out the right side, plugs are a pita if you do it yourself, i reccomend motorcraft straight from the ford house and a 12 pack of patience. try a bottle of that engine resore/total fuel system cleaner that stuff works

Make sure you DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER ON THE MAF SENSOR in the intake, the wires that are used to mesure the air flow are very small and carb cleaner can eat them. The MAF is really expensive so make sure you spend the extra 6 bucks and get actuall MAF CLEANER.
