06 Strutmaster conversion

I recently had the self leveling air suspension on my 06 expedition take a dump and folowed the advise of the forum about the strutmaster conversion kit. I am not real sharp with the tools but I was still able to install the kit in about a day and a half. Thanks for the advice, it was fairly easy and seems to work great so far.

so what does it sound/feel/look like when this happens?

There was a loud constant noise that seemed to come from the compressor as it attempted to inflate the suspension, the air suspension would not inflate and I had to limp home with no suspension (bumpy ride). This happened with no warning, I am glad I was not far from home.
Instead of just replacing the compressor $$$ I did some research on this and found that most likely there is a leak somewhere that probably caused the compressor to fail. Decided it would be cheaper to convert with the strutmasters now. Seems to ride nice but I have not realy loaded it up yet.

Have you towed anything of significance with th expy since use the air to spring conversion kit?

My shocks are shot and the bags have slow leaks. But I tow and really am not sure about the ride after the conversion kits. Everyone says that for towing is really when the air suspension is nice.....

i didnt do the strutmaster conversion. I did the suncore conversion. I love it. Just need strutmasters trick to disable the warning message on start-up.

any reason why for the suncore over strutmaster? same price now. I need to do my 03 expy and just looking for pros/cons. How is the towing? I tow mulch and a car trailer every now and then. DOnt like the LLS, it makes my tounge weight to light. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Need to buy a kit in next 48 hours.

i already have newish shocks and im going to get suncore or would the strutmaster be better?
