2003 Navigator 4wd not working??

2003 4x4 and cruise issues

I haven't had an expedition for long but I'm having issues with the cruise control and the 4 HI 4 LO lights flashing. Cruise seems to fail periodically but will always engage and then cut out. The 4x4 lights just flash at random but do not interrupt vehicle operation. I've seen lots of posts on the brake switch but this is an 03 and doesn't use the set up on the master cylinder. Not sure if these are connected issues or not?

This looks like a similar issue to this thread and i'd like to know what to fix before out canadian winter hits again

Same problem

I just bought a 2003 Navigator. It has the 2h, a4wd, 4h, & 4lo switch.

If I switch it to a4wd it doesn't do anything. When I go to 4hi or 4lo I can hear a relay click but no lights on dash come on and I don't feel anything like it engages. ( my 98 you could feel it engage) when I turn key in truck the 4hi and 4lo bulbs light up so I know they arnt burnt out. But I don't see a a4wd light on dash.

Am I doin something wrong. I tried in neutral and park. I pulled forward and reverse while it was turned to 4wd and nothing.

What are some things I can check. Thank You

I was wondering if you ever got this looked at? Mine is doing the exact same thing even down to no cruise. The guy i bought off of just put new brake booster in as well. Please let me know if you ever got it going> Thanks
