I've searched the forum "heated seats" and found some text, but doesn't match my problem.
Worked fine until today. I discovered that when I turn on the heat (or cooling) for my drivers seat, it goes on for EXACTLY 6 seconds and shuts off. Will not go back on until ignition is cycled. Typically the shutoff time was 10-20 minutes and was restartable. Passenger seat works fine.
Shuts off in 6 seconds regardless of where the setting is set (1 thru 5)
I have not checked fuses yet. You can see the red/blue L.E.D. come on and hear the relays clicking, but after 6 seconds the relays and L.E.D. shuts off. No time to hear the fan spool up.
Under warranty until 75,000 miles, but was wondering what may be causing this. Also, would the dealer replace the entire seat (if that's actually the problem)?
Any ideas?
