I just bought a 2008 Expedition EL and it seems that it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear oddly. It has 88k miles and that is the only thing about it that's puzzling me. Any insight out there for me? Maybe this is normal, I don't know.

Hey Ktm123 when you move it from park to reversr or any other position does it move roughly? only problem I have with my trans in my 08???
The 6 speed tranny is something that takes getting used to. I have an 07 EB EL, when the tranny is somewhare between 1st &2nd and i am comming to a stop but instead decide to go it feels like it slips and hesitates for a second then it catches and takes off. If I come to a stop and wait untill I feel it shift from 1st to 2nd then it is fine. The Ford dealer says it is common on the 6 speeds, I have talked to sever people with expiditions all the way up to 2011s and they have the same stupid shift symptoms.
I had a similar problem on my last chevy truck with a 6 speed so it must be common in 6 speed trannies.
