Had not used 4WD in a few months and ended up in a little mud last week. When I engaged the 4wd it stated 4x4 on the dash but no power to the front axle. I attempted to shift to 4 low after putting it in neutral and did hear a pop but front axle was still not pulling? I am not getting any error codes at all. Dash simply states it is in 4x4 or 4 low when selecting. I have checked fuses but I am sure that had nothing to do with this.

Sounds like you're having IWE, vacuum line, or vacuum solenoid issues. If you can lift the front end up while the engine is off, spin the wheels and see if they both spin at the same time. If not, your IWEs are bad. If so, then it's either the plastic vacuum actuator line or the solenoid (located on the side of the power brake booster).

I had a similar issue and replaced the vacuum line from the solenoid to both IWEs and that solved the problem.

If it's the IWEs, you can replace them with a permanently locked version that eliminates the vacuum system and keeps the front hubs locked all the time like the newer Expys and F-150s. That's what I'm going to do in the near future. Dorman makes a set for about $100 you can get on Amazon.
