"information center" lights are stuck in night mode, climate control and radio are fine. Tried replacing the dash sensor to no avail. Any advice?

My 11 Expedition info center must have been stuck in night mode for years and still was when I gave it to one of my sons in March. I went probably four or five years being unable to read the display in daylight. Until I read your post I just thought it had dimmed as it got old. Now I realize it was the night mode. So, no advice from me other than a half gallon of screwdrivers is plenty for a four hour trip (1977 Capt Pete Florea, USMC. RIP). You're already way ahead of me just figuring out it's in night mode.
