Our 2017 has had issues for a while with connecting to phones via bluetooth and at times wouldn't work at all. While reseting the battery management via forscan for a battery replacement I noticed DTCs for "internal faults" on the sync 1 APIM.
Ordered a used module off of ebay (EJ5T-14D212-AA) to replace module EJ5T-14D212-AC (existing module) and was nervous of their compatibility. However, after saving my as built APIM configuration and writing to the newly installed module we now have bluetooth functions again.
I've looked for information as to the compatibility of various modules and didn't really find much, so I figured I'd post my experience. Hopefully, this helps someone down the line.
