2015 expedition ecoboost noise at 2500rpm

Hello!

I just bought a 2015 Expedition with the 3.5 ecoboost, 100k on it. There's a air rushing noise at 2500rpm at around 1/3 to 1/2 throttle. If you accel harder, it changes to a quick whistle and stops briefly. I've included an audio sampling of what it does. Any ideas?

I don't see an attachment, so didn't listen, but could it be the turbo kicking in?
