Last week we had our 2017 Expedition EL in for the master brake cylinder leak recall noted in the subject line. We had no issues with it prior but figured we would get it done at the dealership while they were doing a transmission check. Since we've had the truck back, the brake pedal has been stiff upon starting the truck, but resolves itself after. It stiffened again after a 45 minute shopping trip the day we got it back. Once the engine is running, both my wife and I feel that the pedal travel feels a little more than it did before. But the brakes seemed to stop the same, no difference there.
When my wife picked it up after the work, the dealer said they did notice we had a leak. I'm not 100% sure what all they did for the fix (the process), but they took care of both that recall and another one we were not aware of dealing with the blower motor in the dash.
Since we had no issues with the brake pedal before, I'm wondering if this is expected performance after this type of recall work and it will normalize, or if this is something we need to take back in and have them resolve (for free).
