2017 Trailer brake controller part

Hey!

I am looking to install a TBC in my XLT expy for a future trailer purchase. The part FL1Z-2C006-D is going to be roughly $250 with tax from an online parts vendor.

eBay currently doesn’t have any listed. But I found a 2015 TBC with part number FL14-2C006-AH. Does anyone by chance know if this part would work in a 2017? Or if I should just pony up and buy the new one instead of going for used.

If anyone knows where to get a cheaper TBC for a 2017, I would be psyched. TIA

You can use any other brake controller but the Ford goes into the slot on the dash. I went with a Prodigy that I attach with Velcro when towing.

Thank you! I ended up ordering the OEM one. Ebay is sketchy and I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting the wrong part. Setting up forscan on my Mac!
