2017 Wireless Charger

So I am installing a wireless charger in the center console of my '17 EL XLT. I am putting it in the slot above the gear shifter under the rubber matting. The hang up for me is the center console is a nightmare to take out and I can not find a wiring diagram for the life of me. So any help with tips for removing the console and where I might find a diagram.

Here’s a blowup of the center console, that should help differentiate the various trim that covers bolt holes. I believe @Muddy Bean took his apart to change the bulb for the ambient lighting, he might have some more knowledge. I’ve never taken mine out, and it appears different than the console I added to my 13 F-150.

I bought a USB wireless charger for 6 bucks last year, tossed it in the well and ran the wire on the passenger side then into the console through the little cut out. Just toss my phone in and it seems to "find it's way" into position on its own.


No fuss or muss and the great thing is, you will quickly realize how many times a day you were plugging in your phone...but not anymore! I love it!

I wanted to be able to see mine easily with out being in direct site all the time.
Have a dual 2amp mini in the power port so the wife can use a cord if she wants then hooked up a USB charger. Got a little 3” micro USB cable and one can barely see it. Mounted the charger to a 2”x2” treated deck spindle cut it to length and painted black and it wedges in the cubby perfectly. No vibrations just stays put.
As you can see that cubby in the console gets filled with crap and did not like sticking my phone in there.
