Can you still build a 2018 or are the lines going to 2019? Went to a dealer because I was having a problem with my 150 and started talking to a salesman about the 2018 Expedition. I asked about the build time and he went right to he could search all dealers within 400 miles and get me what I wanted much faster. He said the dealer incentives are much better in the 2018 than waiting for the 2019. Not sure what incentives he’s talking about.

I was at my dealer here in Daly City, and the salesman worked up a quote and build for a F150. He didn't say it couldn't be built. It is getting on that time though when the 2019's are going to roll into dealerships. If you want a special built 18, better get cracking!

Wow, that is a long wait time, S Mathieson! I just visited a local dealership yesterday and am waiting for an answer on a cutoff date to order a 2018. The options I want (and don't want) seem to necessitate ordering instead of finding something in stock :33:

Sorry for the double-post, but got the answer pretty quickly: cutoff date is August 9th. So I guess it's time to put up or get in line for a 2019!

Considering the long-lead times on builds, if I were ordering now I'd certainly order a 2019. It would be a little frustrating ordering a 2018 now and taking delivery next year sometime and having it still be a 2018.

I'm planning to order within the next several days, but am sticking with the 2018 (just in under the wire, will no doubt have to wait forever)...I'm not super picky about the model year, but do have specific incentives with the X-Plan and want to get the power pedals, which are going away in the LTD trim for 2019.

That is a crazy wait! Did you order the HD Tow package? I've seen a couple of folks post that it seems to be the big blocker. Sorry if you posted your trim/specs already :)

I got lucky I guess; I found a Ltd Max with 302a, tow package, 4WD, and RSE sitting on a lot; 6 miles on the odo so it wasn't a dealer-trade, but I went to one of those massive mega dealers.

Nice!! I want a unicorn, so ordering is the way to go. LTD + leather + HD Towing + panoramic moon roof.
