Just bought a 2024 XLT - wondering if anyone is using a screen protector for the central/main touchscreen? If so, what brand did you buy? I'm assuming that given I can remove the screen protector (if needed) it wouldn't invalidate the warranty. Thanks!

Why would you need a screen protector on the touchscreen?
Good question, actually. Had Ford incorporated a portable tablet as its infotainment display, then of course a screen protector would be a no-brainer. As it stands, I suppose if you/wife wear too many rings on your hand, or have uncontrollable children or dogs, then it might make sense to protect the display from claws or thrown objects.

That said, I bought one for $9 bucks in a fit of OCD but haven't tried installing it yet. Something about buying an $85K vehicle has in general caused my brain to explode. In my defense, Wife talked me into it and I am surprisingly happy with an impossibly fancy/expensive truck I might drive every few weeks. Gotta hook-up that battery maintainer today...

NevadaGeo, Well.. I use a screen protector today on my Ipad, Apple watch, and cell phone ;-) ... I can imagine having to replace the touchscreen (let's say it cracked) in my new Expedition (2024 XLT) is probably more expensive than I would ever want to think about. If I do get a touchscreen, I'm assuming they would hold up to the high heat that can build up inside the cabin when sitting outside on a hot summer day (yes.. i've tested the temp... can get 140+ degrees on a hot day..).

So far.. I clean my screen (no screen protector yet) with one of those tiny cloths that I use to clean my eyeglasses ;-)

I just use a large microfiber cloth, no chemicals or sprays and wipe it off. Can use a little water with the cloth if you have some "gunk" in the screen.
