2nd Gen Headers

I am new to this Forum. I have had a 2003 5.4 Expy for about 5 years now. I have had a small exhaust leak at the manifold for the past 6 months, but it recently became alot louder on the passenger side. I have already removed the passenger manifold and it looks like the gasket was bad. I ordered a set of headers from summit that say they will fit my vehicle. I am still waiting to get them in the mail, but I cannot find any information on anyone installing 2nd gen shorty headers. I am affraid they are not going to fit. There isn't alot of room in there. Has anyone on here installed shorty headers on a 2nd gen?

I got my headers in the mail a couple days ago. Since I ordered the cheaper ones I had to paint them with vht paint. I went to install the passenger side since its the harder of the two. The only clearance issue is the heat shield over the motor mount. I'm going to cut the heat shield out tonight after work. I will update the progress as I go.
