With four kids and an uncle in the vehicle, a second row bench is a must with our family.

I’m trying to determine if I can build a 2025 Expy with a second row bench and a HO engine, but it seems like Ford is pushing captain’s chairs anytime a HO engine is selected.

Adding Stealth Performance package reverts my seat selection to captain’s chairs, and King Ranch isn’t even available with a bench.

Just a bummer. We’ll be keeping our 2018 Expy and see what configurations 2026 brings, though I don’t expect many.

I was actually going to opt for the Timberline until I realized it’s not available in MAX wheelbase.

Suburban AT4 might be the best fit for our needs, I hate to say it. GM seems to have more logically planned their trim, seating and performance options.

You can opt the bench seat in the platinum with ultimate pkg or the tremor which had the ho engine, the press vehicles had the bench seat as well. Ford made the bench seat as stand alone option on most all trims. Looking at the tahoe suburban, if you add options like the 6.2 and tech pkgs, it cancels the bench seat.

Active stay at home dad 2bd row bench is the max utility option the 2nd row buckets are just car show fluff. In a five day span I often see a 2-3-3 HS team shuttle, next day I have a 2-1 with tools and equipment
Cabin trips 2-3-1 with dogs is common
Have done 2-3-2 in that format also.

Scouts trips 2-3 with pile of gear in the back.

2nd row bucket seats would make the vehicle nearly useless for me.

Best way to do this is to take your preferred options to a Ford Dealer and let a Sales Manager know what you want. They will pull the official build sheet and see what options are possible. Web builds are ok but not necessarily always up to date or correct. I've seen vehicles on lots with certain options before it is even on a build site.

...its not true. You can option the bench seat in almost any configuration and package. The only trim with it not being available is the king ranch, but it doesn't have the ho engine anyway.

hopefully this is available inside of the dealer and an error on the builder page. Just doesn't make sense even if its "not popular"
Th le order guide does state that the bench is not available in either stealth trims in small print. I dodnt see it the first time I looked through it.

Glad I have a 4th gen SPP with second row bench seat. It's a lot easier to find time to go to the drag strip when the 5 kids and the wife can tag along.
