For our family the captain chairs have never been a great fit, we would much rather have no third row and a second row bench seat so that is what I did , this first video details the removal of the third row: https://youtu.be/y4_qNrH6gNg?si=02yD6p2nfGuvOYHB

This video details the installation of the jumper seat to finish the conversion: https://youtu.be/JD6i2CJZZXc?si=BHxS8mb6re0Ec5iy

Hopefully this is helpful to the people who have considered doing this but are a bit intimidated by the task. Cheers!

Did you have much trouble finding the center seat for the 2nd row?

Are you going to fill the third row "void" with the XL setup?
Originally that was the plan, but according to the 2 worthless parts departments in the Ford dealers in my area, they aren't able to get it, and I can't find them used either, I'm going to have a custom MDF/Carpet floor panel built and then build my subwoofer box on top of that, The aim is to still end with more storage space than before, while improving the music as well (i'm old bass head)

I had the same thoughts once I saw you had that cleared out. Just level the trunk to the seat backs and create an enclosure.

Edit: I originally was watching at work without the sound. Rewatching with the narration I hear you calling that out.

Not really, just going to the junkyard websites I eventually found one, I paid $450 for it.

That would be funny if that was from my totaled truck. Same interior. Wrecked here in SC, I found it being parted out by some shop in the Orlando area.

Actually, after watching the vid, that may have been my truck. I feel like I can remember this spot/stain that I could never quite get out of it.

That's not it, mine has been in my garage for 3 months and came out of Minnesota, but I would have certainly preferred if it was local unfortunately there were none i could find when I bought mine :(
