They’re Made in China indeed. Purchased from AliExpress also sold on amazon & eBay

I’ve put in China front seat heaters and 5 years later no issues.

that is a great idea. Mind posting the link to the heaters?
also is it easy to remove and reinstall the leather upholstery on the seats? any tips?

do they sell these so replace torn ones?

Yes bottoms are pretty easy to recover

Removal and disassembly of the 2nd row seats can be intimidating if you’ve never done anything like that before.

Here’s a link

Nice job. I'm tempted to retrofit some of these to my front seats. My overly complex climate-controlled seats worked for about a month, the dealership replaced virtually every component in them, and then threw their hands up. Meanwhile, the simple, old school system employed in the second row continues to work like new 9 years after it rolled off the assembly line.

Indeed, those thermoelectric blowers are very temperamental and are known to fail.

Mine came with heated rear seats, however the left side rear passenger doesn't work. The seat heater indicator flashes for a second, but that's it...no heat. I've jiggled the wires, etc to no avail.

I'm not a betting man but I would bet your heated seat module is malfunctioning somehow. And that thing is very awkwardly positioned.

if you remove the rear panel of the center console, you'll see it mounted upside down under the storage box. Nonetheless the center console needs to come up to get to the front screw holding it in place.
