2nd row seats

I’ve got a 07 expedition that I’m trying to mount a second row center seat. I have the seat already and it fits. I had to take the arm rests off the existing 2nd row seats but I need to know what hardware to bolt it down. The holes line up with my seat but they don’t have threads. Do I need to thread it or can I put a bolt through and thread a nut on the bottom? Which is the best way to correctly attach the seat?

I need to see the bolts holding it down. Are there nuts on bottom side or is just bolts it’s a threaded hole? Thanks!

Here are detailed pictures of the side bolt holding the seat rail. As you can see it is a special sholder bolt with plastic bushing wihich threads into a captured nut or other threaded piece of hardware. I pulled the front cover (did not remove the bolt) but it appears to be the same type arrangement

Im not sure you can tap the holes, the floor is sheetmetal (14-16 ga) so there is some captured nut or threaded piece placed and capured under the floor. Ill pull one of the front bolts in the next few days and see what that reveals, but would like to see what you have in the same side spot I show with the bushing and threaded shoulder bolt.

I crawled underneath this morning hoping to get pics of exactly what the threaded attachment points are under the center seat. Unfortunately the spot is directly underneath the gas tank and driveshaft as shown in the attached. Im sorry I have not been more help in this request for info.

From what I remember when adding 4 more seats into an SSV

Pure guess, of course, but it's inconceivable there's be anything special that needs to be done at any point before the minute the seats get fitted.

From a production outlook there is only only one (1) universal floor pan. They gotta be universal so the holes in the floor are either threaded or special self-tapping bolts are used when the middle seat is installed.

Considering the bolts extend through the floor above the fuel tank, I would use caution and make very sure you have the correct length bolts.
