3rd Brake Light Inop

Well, I replaced the OEM 3rd light in my 011 Expy not long after I got it, with an LED version (similar to the one above) from da Zon for like $40....2 screws, 1 electrical connector and the line for the washer fluid to deal with and BOOM, done, done & done...

Yea, I know it's somewhat more complicated with the newer models, but it still shouldn't be that bad

And fyi, my local stealerships wanted $327-$443 to do it

Took me no more than an hour to swap this out. The dealer wanted like $399 (i got the same oem part for half that) for the light itself and 2 labor hours

Ridiculous, but not surprising. My 72 y/o mom took her Nissan to the dealer for a "free" oil change. They came back with a list of things she "had" to do and bullied her into it by telling her that her warranty could be voided if she refused. Among those items was $190 charge for a cabin air filter, which included a filter at 3x the price of the auto parts store plus 1 hour of labor at ~$130/hr. An hour! It's a 30-second job and 20 of those seconds are spent emptying the glove compartment.
