Put over 4000 miles on a round trip vacation to Maine...only had 2 issues that I noticed...a little wobble in the steering wheel at 70 mph but cleared up after 75...the truck seemed to be confused when it came time to down shift while going up slight inclines...it would stutter until I would give it a little more gas...this would happen whether or not it was in cruise control...it would also bog down and stutter if I floored it but was fine if I just pressed half way down or so...it was the best driving experience I've had in a long time...averaged about 17mpg...picked up a trailer hitch cargo carrier along the way...may do this trip every 6 months!!!

Any ideas about the stutters??? Over drive problem??? Transmission??? It was a very smooth drive except for the stutters...

Fuel injection cleaning (Sea foam) and if you haven't already dump that POS Fram filter and throw in a K&N or a Spectre high air flow filter. Sea Foam also has a transmission additive but i have not tried it so i cant speak for it other than look it up and see if anyone else has. It claims to stop the odd shifting patterns.

While you are doing filters replace the fuel filter if it hasn't been done in a while.

Fuel filters are so cheap so why not. Just make sure to buy the removal tool. I don't know how you would manage to take it off with out it

All required maintenance was done at 100k and I changed out the filter with a K&N drop in prior to the trip...added fuel system cleaner as well...wil look into the sea foam while saving for a programmer...

Stutter could be a coil getting ready to go. Might be in that "in between" stage where it won't throw a CEL but gives slight stutter/miss at certain points. ECU adjusts for the miss and clears it before the engine light hits the dash. Just something to think about...
