98 Eddie Bauer Air Bag Light Flashing

I have a 98 Eddie bauer with the 5.4. My airbag light over the past few years would sometimes come on for like a second then go away but for the past couple weeks it has been saying on and flashing. Anyone experience anything like this before? Or have any ideas what can be causing this?

Are you talking airbag in the steering wheel? Or do you have air spring suspension, and it's acting up. What codes are you getting when you scan?

Steering wheel, and have yet to scan it don't think my little bluetooth scanner with read anything other than cel codes.

sensor is probably failing from all the muddin.. front sensor, probably under the front bumper somewhere. i was just thinking about this, as a potential failure, just as a general maintenance issue. mine is working fine

Does it flash in a particular pattern?

The airbag light can flash a code, which you can look up on the Internet.

Years back on my 03 Expy. I had an airbag light problem. Didn't hurt anything but I wanted it fixed. I took it to a shop and they found a wire had abraded through the insulation from vibration against something. Replaced the wire ... Fixed. I don't believe mine was flashing.
