I have had my 2006 Eddie Bauer for about a year. It had 145k on it with clean car fax and recent service history (cooling and a/c work along with trans/diffs serviced). It now has 149k. It's been trouble free until this past Thursday. I got a check engine light which showed a PO606. I drove it and the truck shutters after shifting into OD then goes away. It seems to only have this problem when warming up after 1st cold start. I've been searching for a pcm. I'm finding different things online saying reman pcm must come with new programmed keys. And other say the reman pcm must be programmed to vin only. Which I have dealt with on other makes of cars / trucks. So do I need new keys? Or just the vin numbered programmed. I'm out of work due to a stroke. So I'm trying to do this with out taking it to a shop and spending a $1000 on a $3000 truck I bought for short commutes (20 miles round trip).
