So my 99 is a 2WD with LLS.

I'm having difficulties finding rear shocks that aren't awful. Seems that there are different part numbers between rear shocks with LLS and without?

What is the actual difference in the shock? They look identical side by side in pictures?

thanks!

I've looked everywhere. I currently have gas-magnums , and the ride is WAY too wallowy on the highway.

The part numbers are most definitely different between LLS and non LLS, but the measurements appear to be the same, hence why i'm confused.

For the sake of comparison, here are the specs for the Monroe Sensa-Trac without and with LLS. Taken from Monroe website.
I'm not suggesting or recommending anybody install these. I personally have Bilstein on my '03 and I love them!
To wit:

Monroe Sensa-Trac 37144 (w/o LLS) specs:
**Upper Mounting Code: Loop Bushing& Sleeve Mount - 12MM Sleeve ID X 1.1/2" Sleeve OAL
**Lower Mounting Code: Loop Bushing& Sleeve Mount - 12MM Sleeve ID X 1.1/2" Sleeve OAL
**Compressed Length: 13.750"
**Extended Length: 21.750"
**Travel Length: 8.000"
**Dust Shield: Yes
**Parts Pack(s): None
**Compressed Bumper Stop: No
**Extended Bumper Stop: No
**Extended Hydraulic Lockout: No
**Dust Shield Material: Metal

Monore Sensa-Trac 37154 (w/ LLS) specs:
**Upper Mounting Code: Loop Bushing& Sleeve Mount - 12MM Sleeve ID X 1.1/2" Sleeve OAL
**Lower Mounting Code: Loop Bushing& Sleeve Mount - 12MM Sleeve ID X 1.1/2" Sleeve OAL
**Compressed Length: 14.125"
**Extended Length: 20.125"
**Travel Length: 6.000"
**Dust Shield: Yes
**Parts Pack(s): None
**Compressed Bumper Stop: No
**Extended Bumper Stop: Yes

Hope this helps!

Based on those specs, it almost sounds like either would work. Maybe they were accounting for the expanded travel with LLS?

I installed Bilsteins (4600) on the front yesterday, and it is much improved over the gas-magnums I originally put in, but the truck still seems to rock side to side too much, even after new sway bar bushings and end links. Trying to find suitable replacements for the rear.

edit: The truck had Monroe Reflex shocks on the rear when I purchased it, but they were shot. Apparently, according to Monroe, they never made a LLS RWD Reflex shock, so I guess I answered my own question?
