A4wheel fuse removal?

I remember seeing a thread that said u could remove a fuse for ur 4wheel drive but cant seem to find it now.... Dont really want to do the brown wire mod but will if i have to..... If ne one knows more about either mod and whether ur 4x4 light will still flash after doing it please let me know...... I would prefer to do the fuse obviously if it will work but i dont offf road and my baby will be getting 22s/ 24s soon and wont be offroading at all..... Thanks in advance.........

sounds like your best bet would be to just remove the front drive shaft if you never plan on using it then. even if you take out the fuse, your truck will still use the a4wd to some extent. only way to completely make it 2wd is remove the front driveshaft.
