Active Noise Control on the Platinum trim... is there a substantial difference?

CCD looks worth while, but I can get that on either trim.

We are currently looking at Expedition MAX's... just trying to decide between the Limited and Platinum. Sure do love the leather in the Platinum, but there is definitely a price difference!

Thanks!

I don't know about the noise control.
I can tell you the CCD is great! I have it in my 2017 Limited and the ride is fabulous.
I like the looks of the 22" wheels as well.

I briefly drove a platinum. With active noise control while at an idle and while driving almost all engine sound is eliminated. However, I didn’t necessarily perceive less road or wind noise. I purchased the limited. It is very quiet.
Now for an off subject comment, I would suspect that the electronics used for the active noise control are present in the Limited model but just not activated.

I hate to take the other side on your comment "However, I didn't necessarily perceive less road or wind noise"...

I feel that there is a ton less wind and road noise that in previous generations as well as my 2015 GL550 even when that had brand new tires. Even my 2007 Navigator had more wind and road noise than my 2018 Expedition. I feel that the Active Noise Control is working very well. This obviously is IMHO. Each will perceive their own level of noise and less noise. :D

Wouldn't it be great if you could actually turn active noise control off and on, and actually see the difference?

There should be an option to turn it off, as it seems there is an option to turn off and on just about any other feature on these SUV's.

If it's part of the audio system, I bet there's a fuse you could pull to temporarily disable it. Not as convenient as an on/off switch you could toggle while driving, but could be worth exploring for someone really interested.
