Its winter time in Northwest and we love our slushy icy highway trips that cause build up on the front causing deactivation of the sensor for adaptive cruise. I have read conflicting info on the locations that you need to clear for it to work again. It usually is a thaw or a carwash that fixes it but can someone clarify on the fourth gens if it uses only the radar that I believe is located on passenger side of the lower part of the grill? Or does it use combination of the radar and the front camera? or something in the windshield I have even read?? Inquiring minds want to know

There's two sensors, one somewhere on the front of the vehicle and another in the back of rear view mirror.
