Hey all-

I have a 2023 Expedition Timberline. We recently moved from CA to Sweden and we brought the rig with us. Getting it ready for Swedish registration. Turns signals need to be on a separate circuit and amber, installing a rear fog light. I've figured out the turn signals and rerouting the reverse light. But yesterday, I was wiring a separate circuit for my rear foglight. I tapped the passenger side cigarette lighter to power a relay in the back and my switch for the drivers side. Once the wiring was done, I tried starting the rig and I got nothing. No click. No ACC. Nothing. The gear selector indicator light doesn't come on. My brake lights, headlights, dome lights, and all still work. I've tested a ton of my fuses and relays in both the engine bay and the passenger side fuse box. When I press the brake, the green button on the push to start ignition comes on. It just won't activate.

To make this even better, I went to a Ford dealer in my nearest town and they said that they won't touch an imported Expedition...awesome. So it's up to me, this forum, and ChatGPT to try to diagnose the issue. I ran ForScan yesterday to get some diagnostics and clear DTCs but it didn't help much. I've tried resetting the BCM multiple times to no avail. I'm truly at a loss and REALLY hope that someone on here can point me in the right direction. I'm happy to answer any and all questions for clarity.

Appreciate you in advance!

If you disconnect your new circuit, does it start? There may be a short on the wire you can't see. Any fusible links that might have taken a hit?

The turn signals are computer controlled, I would restore the wiring to factory. See if your car works as designed then add new circuits to power whatever Sweden needs added.

well… and what codes did it have or does it have any codes now? Does the remote start work? Usually you get a start inhibit if it is in gear for example or the key fob battery is dead and doesn’t recognize the fob. Try putting the key into that little slot underneath the rubber mat for the cup holder in the center console.
When you press the start button do the screens wake up?
