What do you mean "not working consistently"?

Does it intermittently blow cold air?

If so, check your R143A level & pressure.

Does the compressor only kick on intermittently?

Check the connections or replace the compressor. Although low refrigerant can cause it to do the same thing...

What type of HVAC controls do you have? Manual or automatic?

Manual have knobs that control temp & fan speed. The auto controls have buttons. :)

Here's the manual ones.

Here's the auto

The knobs on the center console control the rear air. The auto HVAC controls are below the radio. :)

I have automatic controls. The A/C only works when I have the rear a/c on?

Are you asking me that?? (You got a question mark there...)

Or are you telling me that your front AC only blows cold when your rear AC is on?

My A/C needs a recharge, I bought the recharge "kit" from NAPA... but I cannot locate the low pressure port according to the instructions on the can of recharge?

The port under the hood is too large......
